Department of Mechanical Engineering, Narasaraopeta Engineering College, Narasaraopet, organised a guest lecture on “AI in Healthcare: From Intelligent Diagnosis to Next-Generation Patient Care” on 25 August 2026.
The session was delivered by Dr. Satish Kumar Panda, Assistant Professor, School of Mechanical Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar, who was the resource person for the programme.
Around 225 students from nearly 30 engineering colleges across India and abroad participated in the programme. A special highlight was the international participation from Zimbabwe, along with students from West Bengal, Kerala and Telangana.
The session provided students with insights into the role of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare, particularly in areas such as intelligent diagnosis and next-generation patient care.
