Guest Lecture on Quantum Computing and Its Applications
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and NT&CS, Narasaraopeta Engineering College (Autonomous), successfully organized a guest lecture on “Introduction to Quantum Computing and Its Applications” on 24 June 2026.
The session was delivered by Mr. Sapthagiri Miriyala from VIT-AP University, Amaravati, who shared valuable insights into the fundamentals of Quantum Computing, its emerging applications, and its growing impact across science, engineering, and technology.
The lecture provided students with an opportunity to understand the principles of Quantum Computing and explore its role in addressing complex real-world challenges. Through practical examples and expert guidance, participants gained a broader perspective on one of the fastest-growing fields in modern computing.
A total of 89 students participated in the session, making it an engaging and informative learning experience. The event reflects NEC’s commitment to providing industry-relevant knowledge and exposing students to emerging technologies that complement their academic learning and prepare them for future careers.
