Narasaraopeta Engineering College (Autonomous), through its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, inaugurated a One-Week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “AI-Driven Approaches to Pedagogy and Research” from 2nd June to 6th June 2026. The programme is being conducted in collaboration with NITTTR Kolkata with the objective of equipping educators with the knowledge and skills required to integrate Artificial Intelligence into teaching, learning, and research practices.
The inaugural session witnessed enthusiastic participation from 192 faculty members representing various academic disciplines. The FDP aims to create awareness about emerging AI technologies and their transformative impact on higher education, enabling faculty members to enhance instructional effectiveness and research productivity.
Day 1 of the programme focused on “AI Tools in Pedagogy” and was led by Prof. K. Venkat Rao from NITTTR Kolkata. During the session, participants were introduced to a range of AI-powered tools and applications that can support curriculum design, content development, student engagement, assessment strategies, and personalized learning experiences.
Prof. Rao highlighted how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping educational methodologies and emphasized the importance of adopting innovative digital tools to improve teaching outcomes. The interactive session provided faculty members with practical insights into leveraging AI technologies to create more engaging, efficient, and learner-centric educational environments.
