NEC Cadets Selected for All India Thal Sainik Camp – New Delhi

Narasaraopeta Engineering College has earned a proud recognition through its NCC cadets. Junior Under Officer Ch. Mani Kumar, a third-year Cyber Security student, and Sergeant P. Likhitha Nandini, a third-year CSE student, have been selected to represent the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana NCC Directorate at the All India Thal Sainik Camp (AITSC). The camp, featuring Obstacle Course and Inter-Directorate Shooting Competitions, will be held in New Delhi from September 1 to 12.

Announcing the achievement, NEC Chairman Sri Mittapalli Venkata Koteswara Rao garu said that the NCC wing of the college has consistently brought national-level recognition. He explained that both cadets cleared rigorous selection rounds at battalion and directorate levels in Obstacle, Snap Shooting and Application Shooting categories, proving their excellence. He also shared that Colonel Gopal Tripathi, Commanding Officer of the 23 Andhra Pradesh Battalion, commended the cadets and appreciated the NEC NCC wing for nurturing such achievers. The Chairman further acknowledged NCC Officer Lt. Medikonda Rajesh Babu for his dedicated guidance in training the cadets.

Vice-Chairman Sri Mittapalli Chakravarthi garu observed that these achievements reflect the true spirit and value of NCC training. Secretary Sri Mittapalli Ramesh Babu garu described the selection from the Guntur NCC Group for national-level firing as a rare honour.

Principal Dr. S. Venkateswarlu garu congratulated the cadets, crediting their success to discipline, perseverance and the leadership qualities developed through NCC.
