Narasaraopet Engineering College (NEC) recently hosted a grand event celebrating its 27th Orientation Day and 7th Graduation Day. The day was filled with excitement and reflection as the events took place back-to-back, with freshers stepping into their new academic journey and graduates celebrating their achievements. The campus buzzed with energy and anticipation as distinguished guests and participants gathered to witness these two significant milestones in the lives of NEC’s students.
The Orientation Day began with a powerful keynote speech by Sri Krishna Kanth Naik, CSR Program Manager at IBM Skills Build, who has over 20 years of experience in the tech industry. He encouraged students to explore the realms of AI, Design Thinking, and innovation, emphasizing that the future belongs to those who dare to push the boundaries of technology. He inspired the freshers by saying, “Your learning journey has just begun. Let curiosity and innovation guide your path." Sri Naik also acknowledged NEC as one of the most active partners in the IBM academic initiative program, congratulating both the faculty and students for their impressive number of IBM certifications.
The event saw another highlight with the presence of Mr. Pradeep Kondiparthi, renowned film actor and motivational speaker, who enthralled the audience with his engaging and motivational speech. His words resonated with the freshers, sparking inspiration and a sense of purpose as they embarked on their academic journey at NEC.
Chairman of NEC, Mr. Mittapalli Venkata Koteswara Rao, addressed the gathering, urging students to fully utilize the exceptional educational resources at their disposal to pave their way toward success. He emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication in achieving their career goals. Vice Chairman, Mr. Mittapalli Chakravarty, also commended NEC’s remarkable achievements in placements and infrastructure, which have firmly positioned the institution among the top engineering colleges in India.
Secretary Mr. Ramesh Babu assured both students and parents that NEC is a safe, ragging-free, and drug-free campus. He also announced that starting this year, all first-year B.Tech students would be housed in a separate block to ensure academic and administrative convenience. Additionally, a new Dean has been appointed exclusively to oversee the classwork and discipline of first-year students, ensuring a smooth transition for freshers into college life.
Principal Dr. S. Venkateswarlu advised students to utilize facilities in the campus towards attaining academic excellence and ensuring campus placements by the end of their fourth year.
