Short-Term Goals
· Teach students the core principles of data science such as data analysis, statistical modelling and machine learning.
· Train the student wot work with various tools and technologies.
· Develop students’ ability to effectively communicate their technical ides and collaborate in team environments.
· Familiarise students with current technological trends in data science such as deep learning, predictive analytics and NLP.
· Motivate the students in national and international hack-a-thons, seminars and conferences.
· Facilitate workshops, guest lectures and seminars in collaboration with industry experts to provide practical exposure in current applications.
Long-Term Goals
· Establish the department as a leader in data science research and data science education.
· Motivate and guide the students to start their own start-ups and innovations.
· Promote research and consultancy activities in the department.
· Encourage faculty to take up funded research projects from various organizations,
· Expand lab infrastructure to support cutting-edge research in data science area.
