Narasaraopeta Engineering College (NEC) celebrated the 58th Engineers’ Day, organised by the Department of Civil Engineering.
Chairman Sri Mittapalli Venkata Koteshwara Rao said, “Sir M. Visvesvaraya proved that when human intelligence is guided by scientific spirit, extraordinary results can be achieved.”
Chief Guest Sri K. Rama Balaji Reddy, Assistant Director, DGO, Palnadu, observed, “The appointment of Visvesvaraya as Chief Engineer of Mysore in 1909 was a historic milestone. The Krishna Raja Sagar Dam remains a lasting testimony to his engineering brilliance.”
Principal Dr S. Venkateswarlu stated, “Sir Visvesvaraya’s vision and commitment created engineering marvels that continue to inspire national pride.”
The event was attended by Secretary Sri Mittapalli Ramesh Babu, Vice Principal Dr D. Suneel, Civil HoD Dr P. Naga Sowjanya, faculty, and students. The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes to student winners of various competitions.
