Vice-chairman M Chakravarthi, Master of Science (MS) in Computers from a college in Oklahoma, USA, is on a mission to build a vibrant entrepreneurship ecosystem, the college has established the Venture Development Centre (VDC) in association with i2E North Eastern University, USA. Also, the college has been selected for setting up the Indo-European skilling Centre for Mechatronics and Industrial Robotics in collaboration with APSSDC ( Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation. and ARC (Applied Robot Control), Germany.
When it comes to student placements, NEC has developed a dedicated placement cell, that coordinates with companies around the year to arrange internships and job offers. In the 2018-2019 academic year, 847 students grabbed job offers from MNCs and Indian companies. A total of 55 companies came for the on-campus drive. Big companies like TCS, CTS, WIPRO, Cyient, HCL Technologies, MPHISIS, Tech Mahindra, Syntel recruited most number students.

Admission Criteria
B.Tech
- Pass 10+2 with a minimum of 45% aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects
- 70% admissions done on the basis of AP EAMCET ranks via online counselling
- 30% admissions done under “B-Category” by management, based on marks in qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent), as per the guidelines of the ANDHRA PRADESH STATE COUNCIL OF HIGHER EDUCATION – APSCHE
