DRINKING WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The Department of Civil Engineering organised an industrial visit for 23 Batch (III B.Tech ) & 24 Batch (II B. Tech ) CE Students to visit water treatment plant (Drinking water treatment) in shanthi nagar , Ravipadu, Narasaraopet, Andhra Pradesh on February 21st 2026 as part of gaining  practical knowledge. There were 30 students and 2 faculty members present when they visited the treatment plant. It is having 9 MLD,7MLD &5 MLD Capacity infrastructure for the town, undergoing restoration (including alum tank and clariflocculator improvements) to ensure safe, potable water supply. It is essential for removing impurities and, through disinfection, providing clean drinking water to residents.

SEWAGE WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The Department of Civil Engineering organised an industrial visit for 23 Batch (III B.Tech ) & 24 Batch (II B. Tech ) CE Students to visit Sewage water treatment plant (waste water treatment) at Bypass road, Narasaraopet, Andhra Pradesh on February 21st 2026 as part of gaining  practical knowledge. There were 30students and 2 faculty members present when they visited the treatment plant. Sewage water treatment plants (STPs) in Narasaraopeta, such as the 15.55 MLD A2O based plant, are crucial for protecting public health and the local environment by removing pathogens, nutrients, and organic contaminants from wastewater. These facilities prevent pollution, comply with CPCB standards, and enable wastewater recycling for irrigation.
